I work in watercolor, acrylic, collage and mixed media. My paintings explore light, form, atmosphere and color with mood and movement. I have worked outdoors as a plein air artist on location, but now spend most of my time in my Northlight Art Studio. My work has evolved over time from fairly representational art to a more eclectic exploration of abstractionism and expressionism. I often use elements of abstraction to create an emotional effect and will utilize diverse techniques to convey nontraditional and nonrepresentational images. I love utilizing the element of texture and enjoy working with a variety of painting materials.

My paintings are in many private collections. I also donate my artwork to fund raising and charitable activities and have always been very active in local service organizations.  My current memberships include: Baltimore Watercolor Society (Signature  and Life Member), Virginia Watercolor Society (Signature Member), American Watercolor Society (Associate Member), National Watercolor Society (Associate Member), Society of Layerists in Multi-Media  (SLMM - Member), The International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA - Member), and The Potomac River Artist Guild (PRAG - Member).
